Live Music Sessions for Regulation

For recovery programs, shelters, rehabs, juvenile detention, and other high-stress care environments

Overview

Live, trauma-informed music sessions that create a calm, low-stimulation environment where people can rest without pressure to engage or speak. Using acoustic instruments such as harp, handpan, and flute, the music is continuous and responsive to the room in real time.

What to Expect

Continuous live acoustic music, played at a steady, moderate volume.

People may:

sit, lie down, or move

keep eyes open or closed

step out at any time

Why This Works

This format does not require conversation, interaction, or effort. Live music allows the session to adjust in real time to the tone of the room, unlike recorded audio. It is accessible to those who may not engage with more structured or discussion-based formats.
